Ananya Rao (அனன்யா ராவ்) is an Indian actress and model born on 12 April 1993 in Mysuru, Karnataka. She completed her bachelor's degree in Engineering from JSS College, Mysore, and later earned a Diploma in Modelling and Acting from YS Fashion Institute, Chennai. She worked in the software field before leaving it to pursue modelling and acting. She won the title Miss Dark Queen Tamil Nadu 2019 and later Miss Best Attitude 2022, establishing herself in the modelling circuit. She went on to appear in the Tamil films N4 (2023) and Nadhikalil Sundari Yamuna (2023), and the Telugu film Malli Pelli (2023) opposite Naresh and Pavitra Lokesh. She became widely known in Tamil entertainment circles for her relationship with choreographer and Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5 finalist Ameer, and the couple got engaged in 2023. In October 2023, she entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7 as one of the original contestants and was evicted in Week 10, finishing thirteenth overall.
