Aparna Mulberry (അപർണ്ണ മൾബറി), popularly known as the 'Inverted Coconut Girl', is an American-born Indian educator, content creator, and digital entrepreneur born on 16 November 1991 in Portland, Oregon, USA, to an American father (an entrepreneur who does psychic readings globally) and a Chilean mother. Her parents met at Amritapuri Ashram in Kerala, where they married, and moved back to the USA for her birth. At the age of three, her parents brought her to Kerala and settled at Amritapuri Ashram in Kollam, where she grew up until she was fifteen. She attended Vivekananda Central School and Amrita Vidyalayam (where she also learned Malayalam), before spending ten years in the USA for higher education. She earned a B.B.A. in Marketing from Portland State University's School of Business (2017). She later lived in Spain (2017) and France (2022). She also holds a TESOL certification and an AmeriCorps NCCC Presidency Award for Service. She worked as a Sales Manager and Online Content Moderator at Matrack Inc. (USA), Loan Servicing Agent at Sequoia Mortgage Capital, and Social Media Manager at Sacred Source Botanicals LLC, before founding Āve Digital (December 2019-February 2022). She became widely known in Kerala through her Instagram page 'invertedcoconut' and her YouTube channel (386k+ subscribers as of 2022, now 940k+), celebrated for her flawless spoken Malayalam and content that celebrates Kerala's culture. She teaches English through Malayalam to 31,000+ students on the Entri app and through her own language academy. She and her partner Amritha Sri - a cardiologist whom she met at the Ashram during service activities - married on 12 May 2018. In March 2022, she entered Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 4, where she was known for her frank views and warm personality. She was evicted in Week 8 (Day 55), finishing twelfth overall.
