Apurva Agnihotri is an Indian actor and model born on 2 December 1972 in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He began his career in modelling before making his film debut in the blockbuster Pardes (1997), directed by Subhash Ghai and co-starring Shah Rukh Khan, for which he received a Zee Cine Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He gained further recognition with roles in Pyaar Koi Khel Nahin (1999) and several other Hindi films. His most celebrated role came when he played Armaan Suri, the lead character in Sony Entertainment Television's acclaimed serial Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin (2003), winning the Indian Telly Award for Best Actor in 2005. He has also appeared in Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai, Ajeeb Daastaan Hai Yeh, Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain, and as Dr. Advait Khanna in Anupamaa. In 2013, he entered Bigg Boss Season 7 alongside his wife Shilpa Saklani, becoming one of the few real-life couples to participate together. He finished tenth in the season.
