Dhanush Gowda is a Kannada television actor born on 22 February 1996 in Bengaluru, Karnataka. He completed a Diploma in Engineering from Adarsha Polytechnic before pursuing his passion for acting. He is the first person in his family to enter the entertainment industry. He debuted on screen with the Colors Kannada serial Geetha in January 2020, playing the lead role of Vijay — initially portrayed as a spoiled, arrogant college student who transforms after falling for the female lead. His natural acting and emotional depth made the character a fan favourite across Karnataka. He also appeared in the film 1980 (2021) and previously competed in the Bigg Boss Kannada Mini Season. In September 2025, Dhanush entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12, where his calm and humble personality stood out in the high-pressure environment of the house. He advanced all the way to the grand finale, finishing as one of five finalists.
