Dinesh Gopalsamy (தினேஷ் கோபால்சாமி) is an Indian television actor and director born on 29 August 1985 in Srivilliputtur, Tamil Nadu. He attended Srivi Lions Matriculation High School in Srivilliputtur and then earned a Bachelor's degree from Loyola College, Chennai. Before acting, he worked as a freelance programme producer and show director at Golden Amber Productions from 2007 to 2010. He made his television debut in 2011 with Mahan on Vijay TV, quickly gaining popularity with his role as Karthik in the beloved serial Pirivom Santhippom (also 2011), through which he met actress Rachitha Mahalakshmi. The two married on 7 November 2013. He went on to appear in Puthu Kavithai, Poove Poochudava, Sembaruthi, Nachiyarpuram, Eeramana Rojave 2, Karthigai Deepam, and Kizhakku Vaasal on various Tamil channels. He also appeared in the web series Ezhumin Sirippil and Weekend Machan, and made his film debut in Thirumanam Enum Nikkah (2014). He was appointed Joint Secretary of the Chinnathirai Nadigar Sangam Association. He and Rachitha separated in 2021. In October 2023, he entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7 as a wildcard contestant on Day 28 and finished as the fourth-place finalist on 14 January 2024.
