Jyothi Lakshmi (also billed simply as Jyothi) is an Indian actress predominantly working in Telugu cinema and television. (Note: she is a different person from the legendary Telugu-Tamil actress Jyothi Lakshmi, 1948-2016, known for 130+ films.) She made her film debut at 18 with Andam (directed by M.S. Reddy) and gained wider recognition with her lead role in Oh My Love. She is particularly known for playing vamp and antagonist characters in Telugu films. Her film credits include Chitrangada, Arddhanaari, Oh My God, Bhadram Be Careful Brotheru (2016), Sahasam Seyyara Dimbaka, Father, Kevvu Keka, Ranga the Donga, Oh My Love, and Gola Gola, among others. She has appeared in Telugu TV serials and maintains an active presence in the industry. In 2017, she participated in Bigg Boss Telugu Season 1 on Star Maa hosted by Jr. NTR, entering the house on Day 1 (16 July 2017). She was the very first contestant to be evicted from the show, eliminated in Week 1 (Day 6) on 22 July 2017, finishing 16th (last) overall.
