Kavya Shaiva is an Indian actress born on 6 April 1999 in Krishnarajapet (K.R. Pete), Karnataka. She completed her schooling in her hometown and later pursued a diploma at JSS Polytechnic for Women, Mysore, where she qualified for a central government job — which she turned down to pursue her passion for acting. She began her television career with the Kannada serial Bhumithayane, playing Sanvi. Her breakthrough role came as Sumana, the female lead of the hit Colors Kannada serial Kendasampige, which earned her a wide and loyal fan following across Karnataka. She also appeared in the Telugu serial Hamsageetham (2021). In 2024, she won the reality dance show Dance Karnataka Dance alongside partner Shashank, taking home ₹15 lakh. In 2025, she made her Kannada film debut in Kothalavadi, produced by Pushpa Arun Kumar (mother of actor Yash). She entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 paired with comedian Gilli Nata under the show's 'Janti' (duo) format. Her emotionally grounded gameplay and strong bonds with fellow contestants helped her reach the finale, where she finished as third runner-up (4th place), earning ₹10 lakh.
