Lolla Venkata Revanth Kumar Sharma, professionally known as LV Revanth, is an Indian playback singer born on 10 February 1990 in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh. His father passed away before he was born, and he was raised in Visakhapatnam solely by his mother, Seetha Subbalakshmi, alongside his elder brother Santosh Kumar. He completed schooling at Bala Bhanu Vidyalayam in Srikakulam and earned his bachelor's degree from Dr. V.S. Krishna Government College in Visakhapatnam. He worked as a catering boy during his youth to help support himself while pursuing singing competitions. He built his career through multiple Telugu singing reality shows - starting with Saptha Swaralu on ETV, followed by being runner-up in Super Singer 5 and Super Singer 7, and later serving as a mentor on Super Singer 8. He made his film singing debut with 'Jhalak Dikhlaja' from Maha Yagnam (2008, composed by Vandemataram Srinivas). He rose to national fame with 'Manohari' from SS Rajamouli's Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), earning IIFA Utsavam and Star Maa Music Award nominations for Best Male Playback Singer. In 2016-17, he won Indian Idol Season 9 on Sony Entertainment Television - overcoming language barriers as a non-Hindi speaker - and was awarded ₹25 lakh, a Mahindra KUV100, and a Sony Music contract. He has since sung over 200 songs across Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, and Hindi, including the beloved 'Telisiney Na Nuvvey' from Arjun Reddy (2017). He considers MM Keeravani his greatest mentor. He married Anvitha Gangaraju in February 2022. In September 2022, he entered Bigg Boss Telugu Season 6 on Star Maa, hosted by Nagarjuna. In the dramatic finale on 18 December 2022, Shrihan was revealed to have received more public votes - but chose to accept the ₹40 lakh golden briefcase offered by Nagarjuna, automatically making Revanth the winner. He took home the trophy, a property worth ₹25 lakh, a brand-new car, and ₹10 lakh in cash.
