Maadhav Chandrakant Deochake is an Indian actor and model born on 16 January 1984 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He belongs to a middle-class Marathi Hindu family. He studied at IES Dadar and King George V School in Mumbai, and earned his B.Com from R.A. Podar College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai. During his school years, he was an active cricketer and played at the school level. After college, he transitioned from sports to theatre and performing arts. He made his television debut in the Marathi serial Kata Rute Kunala (2006). His breakthrough came with the Star Plus Hindi daily soap Hamari Devrani (2008-11), playing the male lead Mohan Nanavati - the role brought him national visibility over three years. He subsequently appeared in Marathi and Hindi TV serials including Saraswati, Devyani, Tuza Maza Breakup, and others. His film credits include Ishwari (2013, Marathi debut), Chintamani (2015), Gondan (2015), FU: Friendship Unlimited (2017), and Citizen (2018). He is married to Begeshri Joshi (an airline professional with Singapore Airlines; married 1 December 2014) and has a daughter named Rhea. In 2019, he participated in Bigg Boss Marathi Season 2 on Colors Marathi hosted by Mahesh Manjrekar. He used his immunity power in Week 10 to save fellow contestant Rupali Bhosale from eviction - a gesture widely appreciated by audiences. He was himself evicted in Week 9 (Day 62), finishing 10th.
