Rashika Shetty is an Indian actress and model born in 1997 in Chikmagalur, Karnataka. Her birth name was Nisha; she changed it to Rashika around 3–4 years ago. She comes from a mixed-linguistic family — her father speaks Tulu and her mother Kannada. She later settled in Mysuru and then moved to Bengaluru to pursue her career in films. She made her very first screen appearance as a child artist in the song 'Kande Kande Govindana' from the film Tananam Tananam, alongside actress Ramya. Her professional debut came with the Kannada film Manada Kadalu (2025), directed by acclaimed filmmaker Yogaraj Bhat, in which she played a sportswoman — a role that required physical training. She also appeared in Nimde Kathe and Pyaar (2025), the latter featuring veterans Crazy Star Ravichandran and Bharath. In 2025, she entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 as a contestant, where her confident demeanour and growing popularity earned her a loyal fanbase. She was evicted in Week 15, finishing in 8th place.
