Risha Gowda is an Indian actress, model, and theatre artist born in 1998 in Mysuru (Mysore), Karnataka. She began her journey through performing arts with theatre training under renowned teacher Mime Ramesh in Mysore. Her career in the public eye began when she was crowned Miss Mysore in 2019 and then Miss Karnataka in 2020, establishing her as one of the prominent young faces in the South Indian modelling circuit. She made her acting debut in 2021 with the Kannada romantic film Crazy Keerthy, playing the role of Ananya. The performance earned her a SIIMA Best Debutant Actress nomination in 2023. She went on to appear in Telugu films including Junior and Dear Love, and Kannada productions including Austin Na Mahan Mouna, Parakrami, and Bangalore Inn. Prior to acting, she was a national-level athlete, and a ligament injury led her to shift focus to the arts. In October 2025, she entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 as a wildcard contestant during the fourth week, alongside Raghavendra Hondadakeri and Suraj Singh. Her confident personality and bold views on gender equity within the film industry earned her attention from audiences. She was evicted in Week 8, finishing in 16th place.
