Samarth Jurel is an Indian actor and model born on 30 April 2001 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He completed his schooling at Emerald Heights International School, Indore, and earned a BBA from DAVV University. He played cricket for his school team before pivoting to a career in acting, training at the Mumbai Film School. He began modelling in 2019 and debuted on television with Udaariyaan (Colors TV, 2022) as Nikil Kapoor, followed by the lead role in Maitree (Zee TV, 2023). He also appeared on MTV Splitsvilla Season 14 as a wildcard. In October 2023, he entered Bigg Boss Season 17 in Week 2 (Day 12) as a wildcard, immediately creating a firestorm by confronting his rumoured girlfriend Isha Malviya - who initially denied their relationship - and sparking a three-way conflict with Isha's ex Abhishek Kumar. On Day 81, Abhishek physically struck him, leading to Abhishek's temporary ejection. Samarth served as House Captain and was evicted in Week 13 (Day 91), finishing 9th overall.
