Bio
Sana Raees Khan is an Indian criminal lawyer born on 28 September (birth year not publicly confirmed) in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Mumbai and a Master of Laws (LLM) in 2019. She practises at the Bombay High Court and the Supreme Court of India. She became one of India's most prominent young criminal lawyers through two landmark high-profile cases: she represented Indrani Mukerjea - the primary accused in the sensational Sheena Bora murder case - successfully securing her bail in 2022 after bail had been rejected 16 times over 6.5 years; and she defended Avin Sahu, a co-accused in the Cordelia drug case involving Aryan Khan, securing one of the first bails in that case in 2021. These cases made her a regular fixture in legal media and news debates. She also featured in the 2024 Netflix docuseries The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth. In October 2023, she entered Bigg Boss Season 17 as an original contestant, reportedly stepping in at the last minute after another contestant withdrew. She was evicted in Week 8 (Day 54), finishing 16th overall.
