Sangeetha Sringeri (ಸಂಗೀತ ಶ್ರೃಂಗೇರಿ), real name Sangeetha Shiva Kumar, is an Indian actress and model born on 13 May 1996 in Sringeri, Chikkamagaluru district, Karnataka. Her father Shiva Kumar K is a retired Indian Air Force serviceman and her mother Bhavani is a herbal wellness coach; she has a brother Santosh Kumar. She grew up in Bengaluru, attending Kendriya Vidyalaya Jalahalli. A certified NCC cadet, she won a gold medal representing Karnataka in Kho-Kho at the state level in 2012. She later pursued graduation from MES College, Chikkamagaluru, and is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer. She entered entertainment through modelling, finishing in the top 10 at the Femina Miss India 2014 pageant and as first runner-up at the World Supermodel Pageant (2016), where she was crowned Miss Congeniality. She made her Kannada television debut in 2016 playing the goddess Sati in the mythological serial Hara Hara Mahadeva (Star Suvarna), a role that first required her to delete all her modelling photos from social media. She also appeared in the Telugu TV serial Thene Manasaulu (ETV, 2017) and the reality show Super Jodi Season 2 (Star Suvarna, 2017). After appearing in the Kannada films A+ (2018) and Salagara Sahakara Sangha (2019), her breakthrough came when she was selected - from over 2,700 Facebook entries - to play the female lead Devika Aradhya in Rakshit Shetty's massively acclaimed film 777 Charlie (2022, Paramvah Studios). The same year she appeared in Lucky Man and Pampa Panchalli Parashivamurthy (as Lekhana), and had a dance cameo in Shivaji Surathkal 2 (2023). She received the Santosham South Indian Film Awards Best Actress (2022) for 777 Charlie and Lucky Man. In October 2023, she entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10, becoming the only contestant to secure back-to-back house captaincy and finishing as the second runner-up on 28 January 2024, taking home ₹7 lakh.
