Sangram Balwant Chougule is an Indian professional bodybuilder, actor, and fitness entrepreneur born on 28 December 1979 in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, into a middle-class family of educators. His father, Balwant Chougule, was a farmer. He completed his class 12 in Kolhapur, then relocated to Pune where he earned a diploma in engineering and later a Bachelor of Arts from Modern College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Pune. He discovered bodybuilding during his college years in Pune and began competing seriously after being trained by coach Khan from 2006. He won The Great Marathi Shree title in 2006, then rapidly accumulated five Mr. Maharashtra titles (2006-11), six Mr. India titles (including wins in Goa, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Karnataka, Kerala, and Gujarat), the Mr. Universe title in 2012 in the 85 kg category at the World Bodybuilding Championship in Hyderabad, and repeated the feat in 2014 along with Mr. World (2014). His international success suffered a serious setback in 2013 when a severe leg injury sidelined him for nearly two years, leading to a difficult personal period, but he returned to competition and public life with renewed determination. He founded PhySC Gym, which grew to eight branches across India within its first two years, and secured a prominent ambassadorship with MuscleBlaze from 2016. He made his Marathi acting debut in Dambha (2015) and subsequently appeared in Dandam (2019) and Aalay Mazya Rashila (2023, as Inspector Sangram). He married fashion designer Snehal Chougule on 11 July 2006 (some sources say 2007); they have a son, Shourya, and a daughter, Shriya. In September 2024, he entered Bigg Boss Marathi Season 5 as a wildcard contestant (Day 43). He walked out of the house after 12 days due to an injury, finishing tenth.
