Shabana Shajahan Aryan, also known as Shabana Aryan, is an Indian actress who works in Tamil and Malayalam television. She was born on 29 August 1993 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, to a Malayali Muslim family. She made her television debut with the Malayalam serial Vijayadashami (2016). Her breakthrough came with Zee Tamil's Sembaruthi (2017–2022), in which she played Parvati opposite Karthik Raj's character; the show became a high-rated favourite among family audiences. She later played Anjali in Sun TV's Mr. Manaivi (2023–2024) before stepping away from the role. In 2025 she competed on Star Vijay's Cooku with Comali season 6, where she became the first finalist and went on to finish as runner-up. She married Tamil television actor Aryan (Velu Lakshmanan) in 2021 and subsequently adopted his name. She was later seen in the JioHotstar series Police Police.
