Shwetha Chengappa is an Indian actress and television host from Somwarpet, Kodagu (Coorg), Karnataka. She belongs to the Kodava community and completed her graduation in Commerce from B.H.S. College in Bengaluru. She launched her acting career in 2003 with the serial Sumathi, directed by S. Narayan, on Udaya TV. She rose to prominence with her role in the Kannada soap opera Kadambari (2006), a Balaji Telefilms production on Udaya TV, which became one of her defining performances. She went on to lead in successful serials such as Sukanya (2008) and Arundhathi (2010) on ETV Kannada. As a television host, she presented popular shows including Yaariguntu Yaarigilla on Zee Kannada, Kuniyonu Baara on Zee Kannada, and Dance Dance Juniors on Star Suvarna. She was honoured twice with the Zee Kannada Kutumba Best Anchor Award, and received the government's Madhyama Sanman Best Actress award in 2013 for Arundhathi. She has also acted in Kannada films Thangigagi (with Darshan) and Varsha (with Vishnuvardhan). In 2014, she participated in Bigg Boss Kannada Season 2, finishing in fourth place.

Her lead role in the Kannada serial Kadambari (2006) and her ongoing portrayal of Rani in the sketch comedy show Majaa Talkies.
