Snehith Gowda (ಸ್ನೇಹಿತ್ ಗೌಡ), also known as S. Snehith, is an Indian actor born on 19 August 1995 in Bengaluru, Karnataka. His father Maayathere Suresh is a Kannada film producer (Maayathere Combines) and his mother is a homemaker; his maternal grandfather is a retired headmaster. He attended St. Claret School, Bengaluru, and later studied at Presidency College, Bengaluru, where he discovered a passion for theatre and began acting in college plays. He has appeared in over 100 stage productions in multiple languages including Kannada, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi, with notable plays including Tipu Sultan Ki Khwab, Ek Sunehra Bagicha, Jisne Lahore Nai Dekhya, Ek Ant Ki Shuruvat, and Shaadi ki Kirkiri. He made his Kannada film debut in Chiravada Nenapu (2016) as a college student, and was announced as the lead antagonist (a serial killer) in the thriller Gone Case (dir. Aravind Kaushik, 2021) - for which he adopted a smoking habit as character preparation despite being a non-smoker in real life. He shot a Bengaluru FC advertisement in 2018 and modelled for various brands. His television breakthrough came with the lead role of Pranam Rajguru in Nammane Yuvarani (Colors Kannada, 2022), which became widely popular. His favourite actor is Shah Rukh Khan, his favourite Kannada film is America! America!, and his favourite song is Mungaru Maleye. In October 2023, he entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10 and became its first house captain. He was eliminated in Week 9 (Day 62), finishing thirteenth overall.
