Sofia Hayat is a British singer, actress, and model born on 6 December 1974 in Gravesend, Kent, to Muslim parents. She studied at the University of Brighton. She built a career as a model and actress across British and Indian entertainment, appearing in Indian films and television serials. She is known for her brief but controversial appearances in Bollywood productions and fashion circuits before entering the Indian reality television space. In 2013, she entered Bigg Boss Season 7 as a wildcard contestant. Her time in the house was marked by a physical altercation with co-contestant Armaan Kohli, who was subsequently arrested. She was evicted in Week 13, finishing eleventh. In later years, she adopted a spiritual path and publicly declared herself a universal mother and nun, changing her name to Gaia Mother Sofia.
