Sonali Vilas Patil is an Indian actress and model from Kolhapur, Maharashtra. She is notably one of the few Marathi television personalities to have pursued a career in academia before entertainment - she worked as a professor at a reputed college before transitioning full-time to acting, a journey she has spoken about in interviews. She made her television debut on Sony Marathi's Julta Julta Jultay Ki, followed by her breakthrough as the lead character Vaiju in Vaiju No. 1 on Sony Marathi. She then appeared as Aarya Deshmukh in the Star Pravah drama Devmanus. A village girl by roots - like Mira Jagannath, who also hailed from Kolhapur - she has cited her hometown's culture as a core part of her identity.
