Spandana Somanna is an Indian actress and model born on 22 January 1998 in Mysuru, Karnataka. Despite her dreams of acting, she initially pursued a degree in Industrial and Production Engineering from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), Mysore (2015–2019). She turned down a corporate job in Pune to follow her passion for performance, a choice her family eventually supported. Her acting career began with small roles in Telugu serials and a debut in the Kannada serial Naanu Mattu Nanna Kanasu (2021). Her breakthrough came with the role of Sahithya in Karimani (2023), followed by the lead role of Pallavi in Gruhapravesha on Colors Kannada — one of the channel's most popular shows that year. She has also appeared in the Telugu web series Nachave and in Kannada films including Dil Kush (2024), Mareechi, and Currency Nagar. In 2025, she entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12, where her calm and composed nature stood out amid the house drama. She was evicted in Week 14, finishing in 9th place.
