Sumbul Touqeer is an Indian actress and dancer born on 15 November 2003 in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. She lived in Katni, Madhya Pradesh until the age of six, when her parents separated. Her father, Touqeer Hasan Khan, a TV choreographer, raised Sumbul and her younger sister Saniya, first in Delhi and then relocating to Mumbai in 2016 to support Sumbul's career. She participated in dance reality shows including India's Dancing Superstar (Star Plus, 2013) and Hindustan ka BIG Star (2014), reaching the finals of the latter. She began her acting career in 2011 with Chandragupta Maurya and later appeared in Jodha Akbar, Waaris, and Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein. She had a cameo in the Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer Article 15 (2019) and played the title role in Star Plus's Imlie (2020–2022). In 2022–23, she entered Bigg Boss Season 16 as the youngest contestant in the show's history and became the first teenager in any Indian Bigg Boss franchise to stay in the house for more than 100 days. She finished seventh. She later starred in Kavya – Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon on Colors TV in 2023.
