Umar Riaz (born 1 January 1991) is an Indian doctor, model, and actor from Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir. He is the son of Riaz Ahmed Choudhary (a retired politician and former special secretary) and Shabnam Naz, and the elder brother of actor and model Asim Riaz. He attended Delhi Public School in Jammu and went on to complete his MBBS at Government Medical College, Jammu (2008–2013). He then moved to Mumbai, where he worked as a Senior Registrar in the Department of General Surgery at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre, serving as a COVID-19 warrior during the 2020 pandemic. Alongside his medical career, he built a social media presence and appeared in music videos including 'Gunaah Karde', 'Sky High' (featuring brother Asim Riaz), and 'Befikar Raho'. He also directed two short films, Night of Cups (2015) and Some Beloved (2017). He gained public visibility when he supported Asim during Bigg Boss 13 (2019), and entered Bigg Boss 15 as an original contestant in 2021. He was ejected from the show in week 14 after a physical altercation, finishing tenth overall.
