Varthur Santosh Kumar S. (ವರ್ತೂರ್ ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಕುಮಾರ್), popularly known as VS Boss or Hallikar Santhosh, is an Indian farmer, cattle breeder, animal conservationist, and social media influencer born on 12 March 1993 in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Affectionately nicknamed Appi by friends and family, he attended Lady Vailankanni English School, Bengaluru. After his father's death, he discovered a deep passion for agriculture and cattle rearing. He became a prominent voice for Karnataka's indigenous Hallikar cattle breed, one of the most ancient and prized native breeds, serving as Chairman (later President) of the All India Hallikar Breed Conservation Committee. He maintains a large farm with numerous animals and runs an active social media presence on Instagram (375K+ followers) and YouTube to spread awareness about the Hallikar breed. He has been honoured at various animal welfare and conservation events across Karnataka. He entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10 in October 2023. On Day 15, he was ejected from the house by the forest department after a viral observation that he was wearing a locket made from a tiger's claw - illegal under the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 - but re-entered on Day 23. He was again evicted in Week 3 but persuaded by his mother (who visited the house) to continue, ultimately returning. Despite not being considered a strong entertainer early in the game, he built massive fan support and finished as the fourth runner-up at the grand finale on 28 January 2024.
