Jasleen Matharu (born 7 March 1990) is an Indian singer and actress from Mumbai. She is the daughter of Master Saleem, a well-known Punjabi singer and music composer. Growing up in a musical household, she trained as a singer and began releasing Punjabi pop singles. She gained widespread national attention when she entered Bigg Boss 12 in September 2018 alongside her older mentor and then-boyfriend, renowned bhajan singer Anup Jalota. Their relationship — with a 37-year age gap — became one of the most discussed storylines of the season and attracted significant media coverage. She was evicted in week 11 after 82 days, finishing ninth overall.
