Abhinav Shukla (born 27 September 1982 in Ludhiana, Punjab) is an Indian television and film actor, model, and adventure enthusiast. His father Dr. K.K. Shukla was an entomologist at Punjab Agricultural University and his mother Mrs. Radha Shukla was a school teacher. He graduated from Guru Nanak Public School, Ludhiana (2000) and earned a B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Lala Lajpat Rai Institute of Engineering and Technology, Moga, Punjab (2004). He won the Best Design Award at IIT Delhi's Tryst-2004. He began his television career with SAB TV's Jersey No. 10 (2007), then appeared in Jaane Kya Baat Hui (Colors TV, 2008), Chotti Bahu (Zee TV, 2008, as Vikram), Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi (Star One, 2010, as Dev), Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai (Star Plus, 2011), and Diya Aur Baati Hum (Star Plus, 2013). His most prominent role was as the abusive villain Rajdeep Thakur in Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka (Colors TV, 2018–19). His films include Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans (2014), Aksar 2 (2017), and Luka Chuppi (2019). Beyond acting, he is a passionate mountaineer — he summited Stok Kangri with his brother in 2017 — and trekker. He married Rubina Dilaik on 21 June 2018; they have twin daughters (born 2023). In October 2020, he entered Bigg Boss 14 alongside wife Rubina. Their on-screen marital tensions — including Rubina's public revelation that they had planned to divorce before joining the show — became one of the season's defining narratives. He was evicted by housemates in Week 20 (Day 136, just before the finale), finishing 6th overall.
