Karanveer Mehra is an Indian actor born on 28 December 1982 in Delhi, India, to Rajeev Mehra and Ruchita Mehra, in a Punjabi family. He has a younger sister, Kamsin Mehra. He completed his schooling in Delhi and pursued higher education at Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, University of Delhi. He underwent leg surgery after a serious injury requiring a titanium plate, which he has spoken about publicly. He debuted on television in 2005 with the popular show Remix on Star Plus and went on to appear in serials including Saath Rahega Always (2005), Pavitra Rishta (2013), and Ziddi Dil Maane Na and Woh Toh Hai Albelaa. He featured in Bollywood films such as Ragini MMS 2 (2014), Blood Money (2012), Mere Dad Ki Maruti, and Badmashiyaan. He also appeared in web series including It's Not That Simple and Couple of Mistakes, and is an active participant in celebrity sports events such as the Box Cricket League. In 2024, he participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 and won the title. He then entered Bigg Boss 18 (hosted by Salman Khan, premiered 6 October 2024), where his strong gameplay and fan connection earned him the winner's trophy on 19 January 2025, along with ₹50 lakh in prize money. He was subsequently announced as the primary antagonist in director Omung Kumar's action-romance film Silaa (2025).
