Michael Ajay (ಮೈಕೆಲ್ ಅಜಯ್) is an Indian fitness model, calisthenics athlete, and natural bodybuilder born on 25 March 1995 in Lagos, Nigeria, to a Nigerian father and a Kannadiga mother (Vijaylakshmi Murugesan, with roots in Karnataka and Coorg). After his parents divorced during his childhood, his mother relocated to Bengaluru with Michael, where he grew up. He completed his schooling at Good Shepherd International School, Ooty, and earned a B.Sc. in Computer Science from PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore (June 2013 - May 2016). A national-level basketball player in college, his sporting career was derailed when a drunk driver hit him, causing him to break his ankle - requiring major surgery to repair three severed tendons - and leading to a four-month bed rest during which he experienced depression. He then completed a three-month internship at Goldman Sachs, Bengaluru, before becoming a certified personal trainer (2017) at Transformation Tribe Fitness, Bengaluru. His dramatic 25-kg weight loss journey (from 95 kg to 70 kg in six months through intermittent fasting and calisthenics) was featured in GQ India magazine in 2019. As a model, he appeared in campaigns for Ajio Life, Calvin Klein, and Forever 21, and walked the ramp at Phoenix Mega Model Hunt (2019) and Blenders Pride Fashion Tour (2020). He gained national recognition as a contestant on MTV Roadies Revolution (2020). In October 2023, he entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10, serving as house captain in Week 5. He was eliminated on Day 90 (Week 13), finishing ninth overall.
