Tanisha Kuppanda (ತನಿಷಾ ಕುಪ್ಪಂಡ) is an Indian actress and model born on 10 August in Karnataka. She completed her schooling at SRVS National School, Karaikal, and earned her graduation from NMKRV College for Women, Bengaluru. Her mother Leela Kuppanda owns the restaurant Appu's 93 Kitchen in RR Nagar, Bengaluru, of which Tanisha is also a co-owner. She has a brother named Appu. She made her acting debut in the Kannada film Kaarana (2016), followed by Durga (2016), and several other Kannada and Tamil productions including Hope (2022), Body God (2022), Undenama (2023), and Pentagon (2023). She was also signed for the Tamil film En Kadali. On television, she appeared in Saakshi (2016), Saptamatruka (2017), Ashwini Nakshatra (2017), and Sarayu. She received the National Youth Gem Achievers Award 2022 from the Yash International Awards. In April 2023, she drew attention when she publicly confronted and reported to police a YouTuber who asked her inappropriate questions during an interview about the film Pentagon. In November 2023, she was booked by Karnataka police for comments made about the Bhovi community. She entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10 in October 2023. Her on-screen bond with fellow contestant Varthur Santhosh became a much-talked-about storyline, with fans coining the shipping hashtag #VASHA. She was eliminated in Week 15 (Day 101), finishing eighth overall.
