Chandraprabha J. is a Kannada actor, comedian, and content creator born on 20 February 1983 in Doddegowdana Koppalu, Mandya district, Karnataka. He grew up in hardship — his parents were landless wage laborers, his father Gavirangaiah worked as a masonry laborer and his mother Rushbhadevi as a homemaker. Despite this, he pursued his passion for comedy and acting. He gained fame through popular Kannada comedy shows including Gicchi Giligili, Comedy Khiladigalu, and Comedy Talkies, where his double-meaning comedy and high-energy performances built him a loyal fanbase. He is married to Bharati Priya, whom he met through Facebook in an amusingly mistaken romantic message. In cinema, he played the role of a college friend of Upendra in I Love You, and made his Telugu film debut with Inka Edo Kavali (2021). He also directed the Kannada film Angikam, which highlights the plight of endosulfan victims. In 2025, he entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12, where he was involved in controversies including allegations around a car accident. He had a surprising exit in Week 6, walking out of the house without explanation. He finished in 18th place.
