Karibasappa is a celebrated Indian bodybuilder and fitness trainer from Davanagere, Karnataka. He is one of the most decorated bodybuilders in Karnataka, having won the prestigious Mr. India title and the International Bodybuilding Gold Award in 2004. He was also honoured with the Government of Karnataka's Ekalavya Award in 2007 and the Bharat Shreshta Award for his contribution to national sports. He has inspired countless athletes and fitness enthusiasts across Karnataka through his discipline, dedication, and decades of service to the sport. He is known for combining intense physical training with a humble and grounded personality. In September 2025, he entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 as a contestant, bringing his national-level sports fame into the reality TV world. He was evicted in Week 1, finishing in 24th place — the last contestant eliminated in the very first week of the season.
