Sudhir Balraj, popularly known as 'Cockroach Sudhi', is an Indian actor born on 6 March 1982 in Bengaluru, Karnataka. He grew up in Bengaluru and pursued acting after previously running a successful signboard and arts business. He made his acting debut in 2012 with the Kannada film Alemari. He steadily built his reputation playing antagonist and supporting roles across more than 30 Kannada films, including Rose (2014), Krishna Leela (2015), Crazy Boy (2016), Anjaniputra (2017), and Salaga (2021). His career-defining moment came with Tagaru (2018), directed by Soori, where his performance as 'Cockroach' — a memorable and menacing villain — earned him the iconic nickname that stuck. In 2025, he won the SIIMA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Kannada) for his performance in Bheema. He entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 as a masked mystery contestant in the premiere episode, generating enormous audience buzz. He won the Mini-Finale round, earning a special immunity power. He was subsequently evicted in Week 7, finishing in 17th place. He has upcoming projects including lead roles in Chaildu and Karthik @ Cockroach, and a Telugu debut with Om Kaali.
