Chandan Kumar (born 11 September 1985 in Mysore, Karnataka) is an Indian Kannada actor and director. After graduating with an engineering degree, he pursued his passion for acting and debuted on television in 2011 with the Zee Kannada romantic serial Radha Kalyana as the lead character Krishna. He simultaneously took on the role of Chandu in the Colors Kannada serial Lakshmi Baaramma (2012-2014), which became a massive ratings success and made him a household name in Karnataka. He made his Kannada film debut in Parinaya (2014) as the male lead, followed by Katte (2015), Eradondla Mooru (2015), Luv U Alia (2015, dir. Indrajit Lankesh), and the bilingual romantic film Prema Baraha (2018, simultaneously shot in Tamil as Sollividava). He has participated in reality shows including Pyate Mandi Kadige Bandru and Dancing Stars Season 1. He married actress Kavitha Gowda on 14 May 2021 in Bengaluru; they have a son named Sohan. In October 2015, he entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 3 and remained in the house for all 98 days. He narrowly lost to Shruti in the final vote, finishing as the First Runner-Up on 31 January 2016. He made his directorial debut with the Kannada film Flirt (2025).
