Sparsha Rekha, born Rekha to Shankar Prasad and Bhagya Lakshmi in Bengaluru, is a Kannada actress. She received the prefix 'Sparsha' from the title of her debut film. She completed her BBM degree at Maharani's College, Bengaluru, while modelling part-time. She was signed by director Sunil Kumar Desai for the Kannada film Sparsha, co-starring Sudeep, which was well received by audiences. This was followed by Majestic (2002), co-starring Darshan. Both films were major hits and launched her co-stars into superstardom. She then stepped away from films after Majestic to focus on family life, marrying a Bengaluru-based software engineer with whom she has a daughter and a son. She later returned to the entertainment world through television. In 2016-17, she participated in Bigg Boss Kannada Season 4, hosted by her debut film co-star Sudeep, and reached the finale, finishing in third place.
