Adhila Nasarin is an LGBTQ+ activist, cybersecurity professional, and digital content creator born on 28 August 1998 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to a Keralite Muslim family from Aluva, Ernakulam. She grew up in Saudi Arabia, where she met her partner Noora Fathima as a classmate in 12th grade. In 2022, after Noora was allegedly confined by her family to prevent her from being with Adhila, Adhila filed a habeas corpus petition in the Kerala High Court. The court ruled in their favour — a milestone for LGBTQ+ rights in India, particularly within conservative Muslim communities. Both women faced physical and psychological abuse from their families, including assault and conversion therapy. Adhila uses her social media platform (@adhila_noora on Instagram) to document their lives and advocate for LGBTQ+ acceptance. In August 2025, she and Noora entered Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 as the show's first same-sex couple, and their on-screen engagement became a historic moment for representation in Indian television. They were evicted in week 14 after 94 days.
