Aneesh Tharayil (also known as Aneesh T.A.) is a Malayalam writer, farmer, and government employee from Kodannur village in Thrissur, Kerala. He is a B.Tech graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, Thrissur. He was selected for the Young Talented Authors' Camp by the Kerala Yuvajana Kshema Board in 2021. His debut memoir En Neram Thuzhanju — a 22-chapter personal narrative blending nostalgia, philosophy, and emotional reflection — was released at the Sahitya Akademi Hall in Thrissur in September 2024. He also runs a YouTube channel where he discusses culture, daily life, and literature. He took a five-year leave from his government bank job to prepare for and participate in reality TV. In August 2025, he became the first male commoner ever to enter Bigg Boss Malayalam (Season 7), was immediately elected its first House Captain, and went on to finish as the first runner-up — the first commoner to reach the finale in the show's history.
