
Oneal Sabu is a former maritime lawyer turned food storyteller and culinary anthropologist born on 26 August 1983 in Fort Kochi, Kerala. He was schooled at Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Fort Kochi, and earned a BA LLB (Hons) from the National University of Advanced Legal Studies, later completing an LLM in Maritime Law from the University of Southampton, UK. After practising maritime law for nearly a decade, he made a radical career change in 2017, turning to food and cultural storytelling. He founded the Eat Kochi Eat food community, runs heritage food walks (including 'Spook Trail — Colonial Crawlies'), and authored the food memoir Soul Fried Monologues. Known as 'FC Boy', he is passionate about documenting Fort Kochi's colonial and cultural culinary heritage. In August 2025, he entered Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 as an original contestant, becoming the first food blogger and culinary researcher in the show's history. After spending 11 days in a Dead Zone secret room, he re-entered the main house and was evicted in week 9 after 62 total days.
