Abhijit Vamanrao Jaysingrao Awade Bichukale is an Indian independent politician, poet, and social activist born in 1976 in Satara district, Maharashtra. His father is Vamanrao Jaysingrao Awade Bichukale. He completed his schooling in a local school in Satara, earned a BA from Lal Bahadur Shastri College, Satara (with Honours in English, 2001), and graduated from Shivaji University, Kolhapur (1997). He is married to Alankrita Bichukale, who works as an LIC agent. He describes his dream as becoming the President of India. He has contested as an independent candidate in virtually every Maharashtra election since 2004, frequently challenging NCP's Udayanraje Bhosale in the Satara constituency. He does not belong to any political party. Because of his love for poetry, he is popularly known as 'Kavi Manche Nete' - the politician with a poetic heart. In 2019, he participated in Bigg Boss Marathi Season 2 on Colors Marathi, entering the house on Day 1. On Day 26 (Week 4), he was dramatically arrested directly from the Bigg Boss set by the Satara crime branch - brought in with the assistance of Mumbai police - in connection with a cheque-bouncing case under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. The Satara Magistrate Court later granted him bail in the cheque-bouncing case. He re-entered the house on Day 64 as a guest contestant, but was subsequently evicted, finishing 15th. He later participated in Bigg Boss Hindi Season 15 (Colors TV, 2021-22).
