Apurva Nemlekar is a Marathi television actress and entrepreneur born on 27 December 1988, raised in the Dadar neighbourhood of Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her family roots are in Sawantwadi, Sindhudurg district. She completed schooling at I.E.S. King George School, Dadar, and earned a Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) from D.G. Ruparel College, Matunga. She had planned to pursue an MBA in London, but at her late father's encouragement, she chose acting instead. Before acting, she worked in event management. She debuted on television with Zee Marathi's Aabhas Ha (2011) as Aarya, and followed it with roles in Aradhana (Star Pravah) and Tu Jivala Guntavave (Zee Marathi, 2015). Her career breakthrough came with her portrayal of the seductive, cunning Shevanta in Ratris Khel Chale 2 and 3 (Zee Marathi), which gave her widespread recognition and a strong fan following. She has also appeared in the historical serial Swarajya Saudamini Tararani (2022, as Rani Chennamma) and the film Sab Kushal Mangal. Off-screen, she launched her handmade jewellery brand Apoorva Collections in 2015, won the Best Theatre Actress award at Natya Parishad (2016), and is previously divorced. In October 2022, she entered Bigg Boss Marathi Season 4. Her outspoken, confident personality kept her in the limelight throughout and she emerged as the First Runner-Up at the grand finale on 8 January 2023.
