Vishnu Vijay (விஷ்ணு விஜய்) is an Indian television and film actor born on 17 September 1987 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He holds an M.Sc. in Electronic Media from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. He initially worked as a programme producer at Vijay Television before transitioning to acting, impressing the channel's programming director during a college lecture on TRPs. His acting breakthrough came with the role of Vishnuvardhan in the hit Vijay TV comedy serial Office (2013), for which he won the Vijay Television Award for Favourite Comedian – Fiction in 2014. He went on to play the lead role of Prabhu (affectionately nicknamed 'Amul Baby') in Zee Tamil's popular daily soap Sathya from 2019, winning the Zee Tamizh Kudumbam Viruthugal Award for Best Actor – Male and Favourite On-Screen Pair (with Ayesha Zeenath) in 2019. He also co-starred in Idhu Solla Marandha Kadhai on Colors Tamil (2022) and played the witty team leader Joe in the workplace comedy web series Vera Maari Office on Aha Tamil (2023). In films, he appeared in Mapla Singam (2016), Ivan Yarendru Therikiratha (2017), Kalari (2018), and Sivappu Seval. He entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7 in October 2023 and finished as the fifth-place finalist on 14 January 2024.
