Shobha Shetty (born 20 January 1990 in Mangalore, Karnataka) is an Indian actress who works in Telugu and Kannada television and film. She attended Bapuji High School, Davangere, and later earned an M.Sc. in Sustainable Development from Bangalore University. Before entering the entertainment industry, she briefly worked at ATSIT, Ismailia. She launched her television career in 2013 with the Kannada serial Agnisakshi on Star Suvarna. She then appeared in the Kannada serials Kaveri and Rukku before making her Telugu television debut with Ashta Chamma (2017; Star Maa), for which she won the Star Maa Parivaar Award for Best Actress in 2018. Her most iconic role came with Karthika Deepam (Star Maa), where she played the calculating villainess Dr. Monitha - a performance that won her the Star Maa Parivaar Award for Best Negative Role in 2019 and made her one of the most recognisable antagonists in Telugu television. She also made her film debut in the Kannada blockbuster Anjani Putra (2017) opposite Puneeth Rajkumar and Rashmika Mandanna. In 2023, she participated in Bigg Boss Telugu Season 7, where she was evicted on Day 97, one week before the finale. In 2024, she entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 11 as a wildcard contestant.
Playing the negative lead Dr. Monitha in the long-running Star Maa serial Karthika Deepam (from 2017); winning the Star Maa Parivaar Award for Best Actress (Ashta Chamma) and Best Negative Role (Karthika Deepam).
