Aditya Om (ఆదిత్య ఓం) is an Indian actor, filmmaker, director, and social worker born on 5 October 1975 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, into a family with a transferable government background. He moved across multiple cities - Barabanki, Lakhimpur, Allahabad, and Moradabad - during his childhood before eventually settling in Mumbai. He completed his graduation in Mumbai and then trained with theatre groups before breaking into Hindi TV serials (Hua Savera, Babul Ki Duwayen Leti Jaa, Kagaar), where a South Indian filmmaker spotted him. He made his Telugu film debut as the lead in the multistarrer Lahiri Lahiri Lahiri Lo (2002) and subsequently appeared in 30+ Telugu and Hindi films, with 24 lead roles in Telugu, including Dhanalakshmi I Love You, Preminchukunnam Pelliki Randi (2004), Maa Annayya Bangaram (2010), and Dahanam (2023). As a director, his silent film Mr. Lonely Miss Lovely (2004) was followed by Bandook (2013, whose script was selected for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences library), Dozakh in Search of Heaven (2015), and Maassab (2018, which won multiple national and international festival awards). His short film Pavithra became the most-watched Telugu short of 2022, and his directorial Maila - on manual scavenging - was selected for NFDC Film Bazaar's Recommends section in 2021. He has 2 million Instagram followers, has adopted villages Cherupally and Kothapalli in Telangana, constructed a digital library there, and started an ambulance service for those villages in 2022. In September 2024, he entered Bigg Boss Telugu Season 8. In Week 5, after complaints from female contestants about conduct violations, he was ejected from the house by host Nagarjuna, finishing eighteenth overall.
