Alekhya Harika (born 9 September 1997 in Hyderabad, Telangana) is an Indian actress, YouTuber, and social media influencer who works predominantly in the Telugu entertainment industry. Born into a middle-class Hindu family in Hyderabad, she completed her schooling at Silver Oaks International School, Hyderabad, and earned a BBA from St. Ann's College, Mehdipatnam, Hyderabad. Her mother Jyothi is a homemaker and a constant source of inspiration for her; she has a younger brother, Vamshi Karthik. After graduating, she joined Amazon Development Center, Hyderabad as an executive in 2015 and worked there for approximately three years. In 2018, she left Amazon to pursue dance and acting. She was introduced to Tamada Productions through a friend and was cast in the YouTube short film Viva (2018), and subsequently in the web series Chitram Vichitram (2018). Her career took off when she became the face of the popular Dhethadi YouTube comedy series produced by Tamada Media, known for its sharp Telangana humour and relatable situations. Her standalone video 'Frustrated Telangana Pilla' (2018) crossed 1.8 million views within days. She made her Tamil film debut with a small role in the Vikram Bhatt-directed Adithya Varma (2019), a Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy. The Dhethadi channel amassed over 1.27 million subscribers. She has a Maa tattoo on her left wrist. In 2020, Alekhya entered Bigg Boss Telugu Season 4, where her candid personality, humour, and emotional sincerity made her one of the most beloved contestants of the season. She finished as the fifth runner-up after 104 days in the house.
