Amardeep Chowdary (born 8 November 1990 in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh) is an Indian actor and dancer who works in the Telugu entertainment industry. Born into an artistically inclined family - his father Ameer Basha is a Kuchipudi dancer and retired RTC employee, and his mother Rupa is also a dancer and a BJP leader - Amardeep followed in their footsteps and trained in dance from an early age. He earned a B.Tech in Computer Science and later completed a Master's degree in London before returning to India to pursue acting. He made his acting debut with the short film Parinayam (2016) and subsequently appeared in numerous short films and web series produced by iDream Telugu. His television debut came with Uyyala Jampala (2017; as Rahul) on Zee Telugu, followed by his breakthrough as the male lead Ashwin in Siri Siri Muvvalu (2019) on Gemini TV. He later played the lead Rama in the long-running Star Maa serial Janaki Kalaganaledhu alongside Priyanka Jain. He also appeared in Telugu films including Ayushman Bhava, Care of Anasuya, Krishnarjun Yudham, and Shailaja Reddy Alludu. He married actress Tejaswini Gowda on 14 December 2022. In 2023, Amardeep participated in Bigg Boss Telugu Season 7, where he became one of the most popular and consistently nominated housemates. He finished as the first runner-up on 17 December 2023.
