Amit Kumar Tiwari (అమిత్ తివారీ) is an Indian actor born in 1986, originally from Uttar Pradesh but based in Hyderabad, Telangana. He has been active in the Telugu and South Indian film industries since 2010 and is widely recognised for his imposing physique, intense screen presence, and specialisation in negative and antagonist roles across five Indian film languages. He made his Telugu film debut in Mahesh Babu's Khaleja (2010), directed by Trivikram Srinivas. His most prominent early breakthrough came with the Tamil blockbuster Siruthai (2011, dir. Siva, starring Karthi and Tamannaah) — a remake of the Telugu hit Vikramarkudu — in which he played a powerful villain role. He then crossed over to Bollywood, playing the villain Munna (son of Baapji) in Prabhu Deva's Rowdy Rathore (2012, starring Akshay Kumar). Further notable films include Temper (2015, Telugu), Rangasthalam (2018, Telugu), Nagarahavu (2016, Kannada, dir. Kodi Ramakrishna), Tiyaan (2017, Malayalam, dir. Jiyen Krishnakumar, with Prithviraj), Jaggu Dada, Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven (2019, Tamil, with Sivakarthikeyan), and Jarugandi (2018, Tamil). He has appeared in 40+ films overall. He is married to Pooja Amit Tiwari and they have a son. In June 2018, he entered Bigg Boss Telugu Season 2, remaining in the house for 97 days before being evicted in Week 14, finishing seventh overall.
