Anchal Kumar is an Indian supermodel and actress born on 24 October 1979 in Chandigarh, Punjab. She attended St. Stephen's School in Chandigarh before completing her education at Mithibai College, Mumbai. She launched her professional career after winning the Gladrags Megamodel 1999 contest — one of India's most prestigious modelling competitions — and went on to represent India at the Miss Intercontinental 1999 pageant as a semi-finalist. She built an extensive modelling career, becoming a recognizable face in Indian fashion. She transitioned to acting with small roles, most notably appearing in Madhur Bhandarkar's National Award-winning Bollywood film Fashion (2008), starring Priyanka Chopra, and in Rohan Sippy's comedy-thriller Bluffmaster! (2005), starring Abhishek Bachchan. She married Anupam Mittal — founder of Shaadi.com and later a shark on Shark Tank India — in 2013; they have one daughter. She entered Bigg Boss 4 in October 2010 as one of the original housemates. She was evicted in Week 6 on Day 40, finishing 11th overall.
