Ankit Gera (अंकित गेरा) is an Indian television actor and model born on 23 June 1989 in New Delhi. He completed his schooling in Delhi and subsequently pursued modelling before transitioning to television acting in Mumbai. He made his television debut with a role in 12/24 Karol Bagh (Life OK) and earned his career's most significant recognition through his portrayal of Abhay Kanwal — Ram Kapoor's younger brother — in Sony TV's hugely popular romantic drama Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (2011–2014, produced by Ekta Kapoor, starring Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar). He appeared in 250+ episodes. He also appeared in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai (Star Plus) and other productions. In October 2015, he entered Bigg Boss 9 (Double Trouble, Colors TV) as the eighteenth contestant. He was nominated and evicted in Week 1 (Day 6), becoming the very first contestant eliminated from Bigg Boss 9 and finishing twentieth and last overall.
