Avinash Mishra is an Indian actor and DJ born on 9 December 1995 in Patna, Bihar, and raised in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. His parents are Ravi Mishra and Sangeeta Mishra; he has a brother, Akshay Kumar Mishra. He attended Holy Cross School in Raipur and went on to AVS Presidency International College, Raipur, later moving to Mumbai to study mass media. He was awarded the title 'Face of Tourism Chhattisgarh' in 2015. He entered the entertainment industry through advertisements before making his television debut with Sethji (2017) as Bajirao. That same year he appeared in Ishqbaaaz as Abhay Singh Oberoi and Love on the Run. He gained widespread fame as Shantanu Mazumdar in Yeh Teri Galiyan (2018-2020) on Zee TV - a role for which he won the Kalakar Award for Best Actor Popular in 2020. He then played Kunal Rajvansh in Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke (2020), Dev Aneja in Durga - Mata Ki Chhaya (2021), Inspector Aryan Mishra in Nath - Zewar Ya Zanjeer (2022), Garv Mehta in Titli (2023), and Shivam Mukadam in Meetha Khatta Pyaar Hamara (2024). He entered Bigg Boss 18 in October 2024 and became one of the most prominent figures of the season, with his relationship dynamics with co-contestant Eisha Singh generating extensive media coverage. He finished fourth in the grand finale on 19 January 2025.
