Bhanu Sri Mehra (భాను శ్రీ మెహర), also known as Bhanu Sree, is an Indian actress and model born on 19 November 1986 in Amritsar, Punjab, into a Punjabi Hindu family. She completed her schooling in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, and moved to Mumbai to pursue a graduation in Mass Media, where she began modelling and television commercial work during college. Her first on-screen appearance was a small supporting role (one of Mahi's friends) in the Bollywood film Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Minissha Lamba). Her first major acting opportunity came in director Gunasekhar's Telugu film Varudu (2010), where she starred opposite Allu Arjun and Arya. The film's production team deliberately concealed her appearance in all promotional material to maintain the mystery of Allu Arjun's character who first sees his bride's face at their wedding — however, the film received mixed reviews and underperformed commercially, limiting her immediate Tollywood prospects. She went on to appear in 15+ films across Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Punjabi, including the Tamil film Udhayan (2011, as the second lead, opposite Arulnithi and Pranitha), the Kannada film Deal Raja, Punjabi films, the Bollywood film Boyss Toh Boyss Hain, and the Telugu films Govindudu Andari Vaadele (2014, with Ramcharan), Maro Prasthanam, and Sambhavami Yuge Yuge. She married businessman Karan Manhas. In June 2018, she entered Bigg Boss Telugu Season 2 as the sixth contestant. She was evicted in Week 5 (Day 34), finishing sixteenth overall.
