Chaitra Kundapur (also spelled Chaithra Kundapura) is an Indian actress, journalist, news anchor, writer, and cultural activist born on 5 April 1997 in Kundapur, Udupi district, Karnataka. She completed her schooling in Kundapur and pursued Pre-University education at Government PU College, Thekkatte, before earning a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Mangalore University. She began her media career as a news anchor and sub-editor for Samaya News 24×7 and Spandana TV, also working briefly as an SEO executive and as a teacher. Over time, she became known as a prominent Hindutva activist in Udupi district, associated with organisations such as ABVP, Bajrang Dal, and Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Her speeches on topics such as Love Jihad drew national attention and also led to a police case under IPC Sections 153A and 505(2) for hate speech (2021). In 2023, she was arrested by the Bengaluru CCB in connection with a ₹5 crore BJP ticket fraud case. She appeared as a contestant in Bigg Boss Kannada Season 11 (2024–25), remaining in the house for 105 days. She later entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 as a mid-season guest wildcard. She married Sreekantha Kashyap on 9 May 2025 in Kundapur.
